Ahead of the assembly elections to be held after three months in Punjab, there has been a political ruckus in the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the ruling Congress party regarding school education. On Wednesday, Delhi Deputy CM and Education Minister Manish Sisodia suddenly reached Ropar district. He started taking stock of government schools in Chamkaur Sahib, the assembly constituency of Punjab CM Charanjit Channi here. Sisodia also telecasted the condition of these schools live on social media.
The education department of Punjab created a ruckus after learning of Manish Sisodia's visit. Seeing the opening of schools at the national level, the main gates of all government schools of Ropar were closed through the District Education Officer (DEO). In the verbal order sent to the school heads, it was said that no outsider should be allowed to enter the school. Even the media should not allow any kind of coverage. Only if someone comes from Punjab Government or Education Department, then only he should be allowed to enter after seeing the ID card.
On the other hand, the Aam Aadmi Party also released the audio recording of this verbal order of the District Education Officer of Ropar on social media. In this, the District Education Officer of Ropar (Rupnagar) Rajkumar Khosla is asking not to allow anyone to enter the school.
