A case has been registered against the accused under various sections in the concerned police station. The search is on for Sana and Vinod involved in the gang. Other accused have been arrested in the past and many are currently in jail.

Sector-49 Kotwali police on Friday nabbed the leader of the gang who looted and killed people by trapping them in honeytrap. The accused, who was nabbed near Baraula Tea Point located in Kotwali area, has been identified as Sandeep alias Sunny of Fatehgarh, Farrukhabad. Four members of the gang have been arrested by the police in the past, while raids are on to nab the two accused.
Many women are also involved in the gang. In recent days, the police arrested a female member of the gang. The Kotwali in-charge told that on Friday the accused was walking in the Kotwali area. On the information received from the informer, he was caught by siege. Sunny along with his accomplices Vinod, Pooja Sharma, Sana, Sara alias Saira and Poonam Mahto formed a gang. The female gang members used to contact people by creating fake IDs on the dating app and used to invite them to a hotel or other place to meet.
