Vishwakarma Yojana skill development: Prime Minister Vishwakarma Scheme acts as an assistance to craftspeople especially those craftsmens who makes brass-related works and handicrafts.
This program was initiated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to empower skillful artisans with Vishwakarma Yojana skill development and financial support. PM Vishwakarma scheme was introduced by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) on September 17, 2023.
Traditional artisans Vishwakarma Yojana scheme aims to provide end to end assistance to artists and craftspeople. This scheme offers training, technology, credit, and market support to traditional artisans and craftspeople to help them become successful craftsmen.
Prime Minister Internship program covers craftsmens engaged in 18 trades such as Carpenter, boat Maker, armourer, blacksmith, goldsmith, potter, sculptor, stone breaker, cobbler, shoemaker, footwear artist, mason, basket, mat, broom, and coir weaver, doll and toy maker (traditional), barber, garland maker, washerman, tailor, and fishing net maker.

PM Vishwakarma Eligibility Criteria
Interested candidates should be 18 and above and work as artisans or craftsmen in family-centered traditional trades in the unorganized sector or self-employment basis to be eligible for the scheme.
To apply for this program candidates need to have the following documents with them:
- Aadhar Card
- Voter Identity Card
- Proof of Occupation
- Mobile Number
- Bank Account Details
- Income Certificate
- Caste Certificate (If Applicable)

Financial assistance under Vishwakarma Yojana is one of the benefits of this government scheme.
