PM Svanidhi scheme extended till December 2024, Rs 820 crore approved for post payment bank

The cabinet minister said PM Street Vendors Self-Reliant Fund has now been increased to 8100 crores. This will benefit 12 million people in urban India. Cabinet Minister Anurag Thakur informed about the decisions taken in the meeting. So far, 16.7 lakh beneficiaries have benefited from many schemes under the scheme.
The Union Cabinet has approved financial support of Rs 820 crore for India Post Payments Bank. The financial support will help the Public Sector Payments Bank to increase its penetration in remote areas of the country and drive financial inclusion.
Cabinet Minister Anurag Thakur told in the press conference that a 540 MW hydro project will be set up in Jammu and Kashmir. NHPC and J and K State Power will jointly set up this hydropower project. The subsidy has been approved for the purchase of Phosphatic and Potassic fertilizers for Kharif crops. From 1st April 2022 to 30th September, the cabinet approved about Rs 60,939 crore.
