On the occasion of World Environment Day, PM Narendra Modi will attend a program on 'Save Soil Andolan' at Vigyan Bhawan on 5th June. He will also address the gathering during the programme. According to the Prime Minister's Office 'Save Soil Andolan' is a global movement to raise awareness about the health of deteriorating soil and bring awareness to improve it.
According to the statement, the 'Save Soil Andolan' was launched in March this year by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev, who is on a 100-day motorcycle journey passing through 27 countries. The statement said that June 5, 2022 will be the 75th day of his visit. It added that Modi's participation in the program will reflect shared concerns and commitments to improving soil health in India.

In a statement, the PMO said that 'Save Soil Andolan' is a global initiative aimed at making people aware of the deteriorating health of soil and promoting efforts to improve it.
