PM Narendra Modi to Launch ₹76,000 Crore Vadhvan Port Project and Address Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai

Prime Minister visited Maharashtra to lay the foundation stone of the which was Vadhvan Port project worth ₹76,000 crores in Palghar after which he is to head Global Fintech Fest 2024 at the Jio World Convention Centre in Mumbai at 11 am.

Rajendra Trivedi, Gujarat's disaster management minister said "63 people have died since 1 June due to "rain-related incidents" such as drowning and walls collapsing."

Around 1:30 pm he inaugurated the development projects at CIDCO ground. The port is going to the biggest deepwater port in India. PM Modi said “There is always an event that marks a turning point in a country’s history. I believe that with this Vadhvan Port, the PM’s name will be remembered for the next 200 years for his efforts in advancing the nation... I would also like to propose the construction of an airport in Palghar as Mumbai continues to expand.”

Narendra Modi assured the people of Maharashtra that under the BJP government, Maharashtra will be developed under the PM and the CM. Modi said “…I assure everyone, in the presence of the PM and CM, that no one will be left behind. We will ensure the development of all in the region, and future generations will also benefit from the Vadhvan Port to be built here. This port will benefit not only Maharashtra but the entire country...”

PM Modi after the inauguration attended the Vadhvan Port project at Global Fintech Fest 2024 organized by Reliance he stressed the importance of digital literacy as Cyber crimes are the biggest for the growth of Fintech. He talked about the rising threat of AI and appealed for the global framework for it. Modi said People admire India for its fintech industry just like it is known for its culture.

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Anand Dubey said “Today PM Modi had to seek an apology from the people of Maharashtra... Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is not only a deity for the people of Maharashtra but for the entire nation... An apology is not enough; the Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra should resign... Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj is the pride of our nation... The people of Maharashtra will remove the BJP and its allies from power in the upcoming assembly elections.”
