PM Modi's visit to Assam today, will lay the foundation stone for many projects
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assam today for major events in Diphu and Dibrugarh, aimed at enhancing the growth trajectory of this wonderful state.

The Prime Minister will address a 'Peace, Unity and Development rally' at Diphu in Karbi Anglong district at around 11 am. According to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO), during the program PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of various projects in the field of education.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of Veterinary College , Diphu Degree College , West Karbi Anglong and Agricultural College (Kolonga, West Karbi Anglong). These projects are worth over Rs 500 crore will bring new opportunities for skilling and employment in the region. During the program, the Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of more than 2950 Amrit Sarovar projects. These Amrit Sarovars will be developed in the state at a cumulative cost of about Rs 1150 crore.
The Prime Minister's unwavering commitment to peace and development of the region was the recent signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoS) by the Government of India and the Government of Assam with six Karbi insurgent organizations, the PMO said in a statement. The MoU has ushered in a new era of peace in the Northeast. The Prime Minister's address at the 'Peace, Ekta and Vikas Rally' will boost peace initiatives across the region.
