PM Modi's instructions to the ministries, prepare for the use of hydrogen as fuel
After the instructions of the PM, now the roadmap of future measures regarding green hydrogen has started in the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Ministry of Power, Ministry of Renewable Energy.
If the country has to get rid of imported fuel, then we will have to resort to green hydrogen fuel. PM Narendra Modi has given this mantra to the key colleagues of his cabinet. Recently, after the cabinet meeting, PM Modi held an important meeting with all the ministers related to the country's energy sector and instructed every ministry to make its own ambitious policy in the field of green hydrogen.
This was the first meeting of the Prime Minister in the region after the launch of the Green Hydrogen Mission in August 2021.
India has set a target to generate five lakh MW of electricity from renewable energy by the year 2030, which will prove to be very important for green hydrogen. The present government has set a target of producing 5 million tonnes of green hydrogen in the country by 2030 under the Green Hydrogen Mission, but this will be accomplished only if there is a reasonable success in technology upgradation.
