After the cancellation of Ferozepur rally, BJP National President JP Nadda has surrounded the Congress government of the state by tweeting. He wrote that "It is sad that PM's visit got interrupted to start development projects worth thousands of crores for Punjab. But we will not allow such poor mentality to hinder the progress of Punjab and efforts are on for the development of Punjab".
BJP leader and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has also surrounded the state government. According to news agency ANI, he said that "It is a shame that the protesters stopped PM Modi's convoy on the way to launch development schemes for the welfare of Punjab. This is a serious security lapse and the fact that Punjab's The chief minister did not address the issue, making matters worse."
Meanwhile, blaming the Punjab government, the Union Home Ministry said that the PM's schedule and travel plan had already been communicated and in such a situation, the state government was required to keep a contingency plan ready along with logistics, security.
