Jal Bhushan has been the official residence of the Governor of Maharashtra since 1885. Upon completion of the life of the building, it was demolished and a new building was approved in its place. The foundation stone of the new building was laid by the President in August 2019.

The printing of Mumbai Samachar as a weekly was started by Fardunji Marjabanji on July 1, 1822. It later became a daily in 1832. This newspaper has been published continuously for 200 years. To celebrate this unique achievement, a postage stamp will also be issued on the occasion.
