Prime Minister Narendra Modi will interact with National Child Award winners today at 4 pm at his official residence, 7 Lok Kalyan Marg. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) gave this information in a statement on Monday. The Government of India presents the Prime Minister's National Child Awards to children for their exceptional achievements in six categories of innovation, social service, academics, sports, art and culture and bravery. Under this, each awardee is given a medal, a cash prize of one lakh rupees and a certificate. This year 11 children from across the country were selected for PMRBP-2023 under different categories of Bal Shakti Puraskar. The awardees include 6 boys and 5 girls from 11 states and union territories.
President Draupadi Murmu said on Monday that children should think about the interest of the country and work for nation building whenever they get a chance. Murmu presented the Prime Minister's National Child Award to 11 children at a function. He said, "Children are an invaluable asset of our country. Every effort made for their future-building will shape the future of our society and country. We should do everything possible for their safe and happy childhood and bright future."
President Draupadi Murmu said, “By awarding the children, we are encouraging and honoring their contribution in nation building.” The President said that some of the award winners have shown such indomitable courage and valor at such a young age that he was not only surprised to know about them, but also overwhelmed by it. He said that their examples are inspirational for all children and youth. Murmu said, "We are celebrating the nectar of freedom across the country.
