PM Modi welcomed the President of Egypt, said - this is a matter of honor and joy for the whole of India

PM Modi welcomed Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, who came to India as the chief guest of the Republic Day. During this, PM Modi said that I welcome Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi and his delegation to India. . Tomorrow he will be the chief guest on Republic Day. I am happy that the Egyptian military contingent will also take part in the parade. India and Egypt are the two oldest civilizations.

There is a history of trade relations between our two countries. Our bilateral relations have further deepened in the last few years. This year Egypt has been invited as a special guest at the upcoming G20 meeting. PM Modi further said that India and Egypt are concerned about terrorism. Both countries agreed that strict action should be taken to control cross-border terrorism. During the Covid outbreak, we worked together to meet the needs of both the countries. We have decided to take the bilateral trade between our countries to US$ 12 billion in the next 5 years. Strategic coordination between the two countries will help usher in peace and prosperity in the entire region. Therefore, in today's meeting, President Sisi and I have decided to elevate our bilateral partnership to the level of a strategic partnership.
