PM Modi to begin 3-day meditation at the Swami Vivekananda Rock Memorial in Kanyakumari from May 30
The 45-hour meditation will continue till 3 pm on June 1, when the last voting phase for the Lok Sabha Election 2024 will be on.

PM Modi in Kanniyakumari: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Kanyakumari for a 45-hour meditation at Vivekananda Rock Memorial on Thursday, May 30.
PM Modi will visit Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu after completing a public meeting at Hoshiarpur in Punjab and he will reach Vivekananda Rock Memorial in the evening.
A large number of 2,000 police forces has been deployed at the Vivekananda Rock Memorial to ensure the full security of PM Modi. The security is very tight and they have checked everything such as the guest house, jetty, and helipad to confirm full safety even a trial of helicopter landing also took place.
As per the official notice, PM Modi will reach Vivekananda Rock Memorial in the evening from there he will proceed to Rock Memorial Dhyan Mandapam which is considered a holy place and also known as the place where Swami Vivekananda meditated.
The 45-hour meditation will continue till 3 pm on June 1, when the last voting phase for the Lok Sabha Election 2024 will be on.

According to sources, the reason behind Modi's meditation may be to honor Swami Vivekananda and to spread the message of national unity. It might also be for the love and affection he has with Tamil Nadu.
Furthermore, during the Lok Sabha election campaign in 2014 and 2019, he made a similar visit to Shivaji's Pratapgarh, and in the 2019 campaign, he visited a cave near the Kedarnath temple.
PM Modi is a great devotee of Swami Vivekananda, he wants to bring the vision of Swami Vivekananda which is national unity and national regeneration in India. Also, motivates youngsters to work towards making India better.
However, the Vivekananda Rock Memorial was created in tribute to Swami Vivekananda and holds a huge historical significance as Swami Vivekananda mediated there back in 1892.
The rock which was later known as a memorial had a significant impact on Vivekananda's life and also holds great influence in the life of monks.
