PM Modi : The world of startups has changed, today India has the largest startup ecosystem in India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday launched the new startup policy of Madhya Pradesh. Prime Minister Modi addressed the program through online at Brilliant Convention Center in Indore. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said- Today the Startup Portal and i-Hub Indore have been launched in Madhya Pradesh. Under the Startup Policy of Madhya Pradesh, financial assistance has been given to Startups and Incubators. In the year 2014, there used to be around 300 to 400 startups in the country. Today, in a short span of 8 years, the world of startups in India has changed. Today there are about 70 thousand startups in our country. Today India has the largest startup ecosystem in the world.

PM Modi said that often some people get confused that startup means any game or business of youth related to computer is going on. Till 8 years ago, the word startup was a part of the discussion even in the corridors of the technical world, today it has become a powerful medium to fulfill the dreams of the common Indian youth. The scope and breadth of start ups is huge. Startups give us simple solutions to tough challenges. Today's start-ups are becoming tomorrow's multi-nationals.
