Prime Minister Narendra Modi addresses Gurpurab celebrations at Gurdwara Lakhpat Sahib in Kutch, Gujarat. Modi attended the program through video conferencing, but Punjab remained in focus. Modi talked about making the Kartarpur Corridor, and also talked about bringing the Guru Granth Sahib from Afghanistan to India. Modi said, 'Recently, we have been successful in bringing the formats of Guru Granth Sahib from Afghanistan to India. When I went to America a few months ago, America returned more than 150 historical objects to India there.
Modi said, 'Gurdwara Lakhpat Sahib has been a witness to every movement of time. I am reminded of how Lakhpat Sahib has seen storms. Once upon a time this place was a major place for travel and trade to other countries. The place was heavily damaged by the cyclone of 1998, the Gurdwara Lakhpat Sahib and the 2001 earthquake caused major damage to the 200-year-old building of the Gurdwara Sahib. But still Gurdwara Lakhpat Sahib stands with the same glory.
