PM Modi said, "Women will have to be given priority in the G-20 agenda"
Prime Minister Modi said, “I want to assure that India's G-20 chairmanship will be inclusive, ambitious, decisive and action-oriented. It will be our endeavor that the G-20 act as a global prime mover to visualize new ideas and accelerate collective action.
India will officially assume the presidency of the G-20 from 1 December. Indonesian President Joko Widodo handed over the G-20 chairmanship to India at the closing ceremony of the Bali summit. At the G-20, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, "India is taking charge of the G-20 at a time when the world is grappling together with geo-political tensions, economic slowdown and rising energy prices, and the side effects of the pandemic." At such a time, the world is looking towards the G-20 with an eye of hope.

PM said, global development is not possible without the participation of women. We have to prioritize women-led development in our G-20 agenda.
At the closing session of the G-20 summit in Bali, PM Narendra Modi said, "The chairmanship of the G-20 is a matter of pride for every Indian. We will organize meetings in our different cities and states. Our guests will get to fully experience the wonder, diversity, inclusive traditions and cultural richness of India.
