PM Modi said- Unique opportunity to showcase India's strength during G-20 chairmanship

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that India's presidency of the G-20 belongs to the entire country and it is a unique opportunity to showcase its strength. The Prime Minister said this while chairing a video conference meeting with Governors, Chief Ministers and Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories on aspects related to India's G-20 Chairmanship. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) gave this information in a statement.
Emphasizing on the importance of team spirit, the Prime Minister also sought cooperation of all states and union territories in organizing the event, according to a PMO statement. He said that the G-20 chairmanship will play an important role in exposing the remotest parts of India to the world, beyond the traditional mega metros. "Thus this event will bring to the world the uniqueness of each part of our country," he said. Drawing attention to international media coverage of India's G20 presidency and various related events, the Prime Minister Said that the country has to use this opportunity to promote trade, investment and tourism destinations.
He said that at the same time India has to be developed as a 'brand'. He also stressed the need to ensure people's participation in G-20 events from a whole-of-government and whole-of-society perspective.
