PM Modi remembers Narasimha Rao, Vice President also pays tribute
Vice President Venkaiah Naidu also paid tribute to the former Prime Minister. However, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi did not tweet in Rao's memory till noon on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday paid tributes to former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao on his birth anniversary. Remembering the former prime minister, Modi said India is grateful to him for his rich contribution to national progress.
Narasimha Rao was born on this day in the year 1921 in Karimnagar, Telangana, and Tuesday is his 101st birth anniversary.
Paying tributes to the former Prime Minister, Modi said in a tweet, 'Tributes to our former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao ji on his birth anniversary. India will remain grateful to him for his rich contribution to national progress. He also left a mark as a great scholar and intellectual.'
The Vice President's Secretariat tweeted, quoting Naidu, 'A visionary politician and a very big intellectual, who initiated major economic reforms. Rao was a multifaceted personality – a polyglot, scholar, and writer of repute. He will always be remembered for his contribution to nation-building.
Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi did not tweet about the former Congress veteran's birth anniversary. The Congress party handle definitely remembered him and credited him for ending the license raj in India. Congress tweeted, 'We bow to former Prime Minister of India PV Narasimha Rao on his birth anniversary. He is credited with ending the license raj in India and leading the country towards an era of economic reforms. His contribution to the nation will always be remembered.
