Addressing the people here, PM Modi said that Surat city is a very good example of both solidarity and public participation. There will be no state in India whose people do not live on the land of Surat. The biggest feature of Surat is that this city is a city that respects labor.

He further said that in the early decades of this century, when 3-P i.e. Public Private Partnership was discussed in the world, then I used to say that Surat is an example of 4-P. 4-P means People, Public, Private, Partnership. This model makes Surat special. Surat's textile and diamond business sustains the lives of many families across the country. When the Dream City project is completed, Surat will develop into one of the safest and most convenient diamond trading hub in the world.

Referring to the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the Prime Minister said that under this, about 4 crore poor patients have got free treatment in the country so far and out of this, more than 32 lakh patients are from Gujarat and about 1.25 lakh are from Surat. He said that the path of development on which Surat has been walking for the last two decades is going to accelerate in the coming years. "The same development is reflected today in the form of trust in the double engine (central and state) government. When trust increases, effort increases and with everyone's efforts, the pace of development of the nation accelerates.
