PM Modi gave a message at the conclusion of the Gorakhpur MP Sports Mahakumbh

PM Modi addressed the players virtually on the occasion of the conclusion of the Parliamentarian Sports Competition Mahakumbh. He said that in this competition someone would have won and someone would have lost. Be it the field of play or the field of life, there is victory and defeat. But, this defeat always gives the experience of winning.

Sansad Khel Mahakumbh is the way to make the country a sports power. Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that to make India a sports power, new paths will have to be chosen, new arrangements will have to be made. Sansad Khel Mahakumbh is such a new route, a new system. Sansad Khel Mahakumbh sports field is the foundation on which the grand edifice of the future is going to be built. That's why it is necessary that continuous competitions should be organized at the local level. This enhances sports talents and strengthens their morale.

The MP was guiding the players at the closing ceremony of the Khel Mahakumbh organized at the regional playground in Gorakhpur. Through a video message, the Prime Minister said that the government has made several provisions in the budget to promote sports and sportspersons. Compared to 2014, the budget of the Sports Ministry has been tripled. Many modern stadiums are being built. Lakhs of rupees are being helped to the players. He said that we have to adopt a holistic vision towards sports. With schemes like 'TOPS', attention is being given to the training of the players. Along with Khelo India, it is also taking forward campaigns like Fit India and Yoga.
