Personal secretary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, Shivkumar Pareek passed away
Shivkumar Pareek, who was the personal secretary of former Prime Minister Late Atal Bihari Vajpayee, died in Delhi on Saturday during treatment. Shivkumar Pareek was 83 years old. Pareek's last rites will be performed on Sunday at 10.30 am at Mokshadham in Chandpol, Jaipur, Rajasthan.

Pareek's body was brought from Delhi to Jaipur on Saturday evening. Pareek, who was a volunteer of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), was with Atal Bihari Vajpayee since the time of Jan Sangh. Pareek stayed with Vajpayee till his last days. State BJP leaders say that Pareek has been close to Vajpayee since 1968.
Former state minister and BJP leader Ghanshyam Tiwari told that in 1968, Atal Vajpayee felt the need of such an ally, so he could live like a shadow with him. On this Nanaji Deshmukh suggested him the name of Pareek. Pareek has two sons Mahesh and Dinesh.
