Ex-Deputy Chief Minister and at present leader of opposition in Bihar showed his influence while attending a protest of teachers in Patna.
His conversation with the District Magistrate of Patna shows that he enjoys huge clout in the current administrative set-up in Bihar.
It is going viral on social networking sites as he is talking to the DM for allowing the teachers to gather at the proposed protest site.
In the conversation, the DM initially talked to him in a normal tone and at the point of time when Yadav asked how long would he take to respond to their demands, the DM replied in a stern tone.
But the moment Tejashwi Yadav said, “Hum Tejashwi Yadav bol rahein hai, DM sahib” there was a dramatic change in his tone and he started calling him sir.
Yadav also posted on his Twitter handle that according to the administration, it did not allow the protesters at the Gurdni Bagh picket site today, due to which all the candidates reached Echo Park with tickets.
“Arrived there in the evening and after getting permission after talking to the Chief Secretary, DGP and DM, marched on foot at night and brought them back to the dharna site,” he posted in Hindi.
He had earlier said, “Talking to the authorities in the meeting with the agitators, they have received assurance to release the arrested agitational leaders, withdraw the case and send the protesters back to the protest site If this does not happen, I myself will go to the picket site.”
Yadav is of the view that It is the democratic right of the agitators to hold demonstrations at an approved picket site.
Yadav questioned, “How can the government not allow them? How can the administration lathi-charge the innocent youth, women, and the disabled? Despite the order of the High Court, why 94000 candidates are not being given appointment letters?”
