Part of Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh missing from India's Map in Shashi Tharoor's manifesto, Apologizes
Congress presidential candidate Shashi Tharoor's manifesto for the election shows a distorted map of India, part of J&K omitted from Dr. Tharoor’s manifesto.

MP Shashi Tharoor, who is contesting the election of Congress President, has given rise to a new controversy with his election manifesto. Some parts of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh were missing from the map of India printed on page number two of the manifesto. As the controversy escalated, Tharoor removed the post containing the controversial map from his Twitter account. He apologized for the mistake by tweeting the revised manifesto.
It is written under the map - PCC presidents should get the rights. To empower Congress in the states, PCC presidents should get real powers. This will make the ground workers of the party truly empowered. We must provide a credible alternative to the BJP's centralization of power in party and governance matters. Empowering State, District, Block Dena, and grassroots level functionaries will not only free the new leader from the heavy burden of excessive administration but will also help in building a strong state leadership.
Shashi Tharoor apologizes for tweeting the wrong map of India. He tweeted with the revised manifesto – Troll storm has come on the manifesto map. No one does such things intentionally. A small team of volunteers made a mistake. We fixed it immediately and I apologize unconditionally for the mistake.
There were 3 nominations for the election of the President in Congress on Friday. The first nomination was filed by Shashi Tharoor, the second nomination by Congress leader KN Tripathi from Jharkhand, and the third by Mallikarjun Kharge. With this, it has been decided that the next president will be a non-Gandhi.
