Due to the decreasing corona cases in the country, general meetings in the Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha will resume in the second part of the budget session. Parliament session is resuming from March 14 at 11 am. However, the Corona Protocol will be followed in the Parliament session as before. Most of the restrictions in both the houses will continue for the time being.

There will be no change in the seating arrangement of both the House members and social distancing norms will continue to be followed.
As per the seating arrangement, the Rajya Sabha currently has a total strength of 237 members, out of which eight of the total 245 MPs are vacant. 139 (3) MPs will be seated in the Chamber while 98 others will be accommodated in the Gallery at a given time.
Similarly, the Lok Sabha has a total of 538 members, out of which 282 can sit in the chamber including the Prime Minister, while the remaining 258 can sit in the galleries at a given time. Apart from this, the limited seating capacity in the Press Gallery will also continue as before. Anyone else's entry to watch the proceedings of both the Houses will remain suspended.
As per the official guidelines, only sitting members in both the Houses of Parliament can enter the Central Hall which will be restricted to former MPs and others. Apart from this, limited entry for the staff of MPs and Ministers will also continue in line with the Corona Protocol observed in the previous sessions. Time arrangements have also been made for vaccination of Covid-19 in the Annexe building of Parliament. Significantly, the second part of the budget session will start from March 14 and will end on April 8.
