Parliament LIVE: How 16 innocent people died? Huge uproar over Nagaland incident

Monday was a rough day in the winter session of Parliament. In both the houses, the opposition raised the incident of firing in Nagaland. The opposition created a ruckus in both the houses on the issue. On behalf of the opposition, a demand was made to make a statement on behalf of Union Home Minister Amit Shah on this whole matter. In view of the uproar by the opposition, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned till 12 noon.

Leader of Congress Parliamentary Party in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury raised the issue of firing in Nagaland. As the Lok Sabha proceedings began, senior Congress leader Adhir Ranjan raised the issue of killing of innocent people in the firing by Assam Rifles personnel in Nagaland. He said that the Home Minister should give a statement in the House.

On the demand of the opposition, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi said on this that the government is very sensitive about this incident. He said that on this issue, Home Minister Amit Shah will give a statement on behalf of the government.
