Paris Olympics 2024 Day 1 Live: Paris Olympics 2024 is all set to begin today, July 27 at 12:30 PM IST, and the first match of the Paris Olympics 2024 is the 10m air rifle mixed team qualifications.

Elavenil Valarivan and Sandeep Singh are in the first team, and Ramita and Arjun Babuta are in India 2, both will be taking part in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team event today.

The 10m air rifle mixed team qualifications will be held at the National Shooting Center in Chateauroux and the medals rounds will begin from 2:00 PM IST.

The iconic badminton player P V Sindhu is back, she won 1 silver in 2016 and 1 bronze medal in Tokyo Olympics 2020 for India.

Manu Bhaker who is famous for his magnificent performance in the Olympics will compete with Rhythm Sangwan in the 10m air pistol women's qualification round.

Furthermore, the Tokyo 2020 Hockey team that won the bronze medalist is back to compete in the Men’s Hockey at the Paris Olympics 2024.

Indian Begins Their Olympics Journey With Rowing

India will begin their Olympic journey with Men’s Single Sculls Rowing Heats and Balraj Panwar will compete. The top three rowers in each heat will move on to the quarterfinals, while the bottom three rowers in each heat will wait for the repechage rounds.

The Men’s Single Sculls Rowing Heats will be held at Vaires-sur-Marne Nautical Stadium in Vaires-sur-Marne, France.

Indian Rower Balraj Panwar

Balraj Panwar had earlier won a bronze medal at the Asian and Oceanian Rowing Olympic Qualification Regatta in Chungju and gained framed from after that. He 25 year old and is the only person to compete for Rowing at Paris Olympics 2024.

10m Air Rifle Shooter Sandeep Singh

Sandeep Singh performed exceptionally well in the trails and got into the Olympics. He is 38 years old and will participate in the Mixed Team 10m Air Rifle Qualification.

Indian Shooter Elavenil Valarivan

Elavenil Valarivan is a 24-year-old Indian shooter who won a gold medal at the ISSF Junior World Cup in 2028. She also won a silver at the World University Games 2019, and a won gold at the World Junior World Cup in 2019.

However, Elavenil Valarivan will compete in the 10m Air Rifle Mixed Team Qualification today in a team with Sandeep Singh.
