Pakistan reached the semi-finals of T20 World Cup by defeating Bangladesh

Pakistan reached the semi-finals of T20 World Cup by defeating Bangladesh

Pakistan team has reached the semi-finals after defeating Bangladesh by 5 wickets. India and Pakistan have qualified for the semi-finals from Group 2. At the same time, New Zealand and England have entered the semi-finals from Group 1. Chasing 128 runs given by Bangladesh, Pakistan achieved the target for 5 wickets. Rizwan scored 32 runs for Pakistan, while Mohammad Haris played an important role in winning Pakistan by playing an innings of 31 runs. Earlier in the crucial match against Pakistan, Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first.

Playing first, Bangladesh had scored only 127 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs. Shaheen Afridi bowled amazingly for Pakistan and managed to take 4 wickets. For Bangladesh, only Shanto played a half-century innings and was dismissed after scoring 54 runs. Apart from Shaheen, Shadab Khan got 2 wickets from Pakistan. Whichever team wins this will be the second team to reach the semi-finals. On the other hand, the Netherlands defeated South Africa by 13 runs and made a big upset. The defeat of South Africa gave the team of Pakistan and Bangladesh a chance to reach the semi-finals, in which Pakistan won.

A career-best performance by Shaheen Afridi helped Pakistan restrict Bangladesh to 127 for eight. In response, Rizwan and Babar shared a 57-run partnership for the first wicket to take the team closer to victory. Pakistan won the match by scoring 130 runs for 5 wickets with 11 balls to spare. Pakistan on Sunday defeated Bangladesh by six wickets in the Super-12 match of the T20 World Cup 2022 to reach the semi-finals of the tournament. Bangladesh gave a target of 128 runs to Pakistan in the Group-2 match, which Pakistan achieved with 11 balls to spare.
