The clouds of crisis have deepened over the Imran Khan government in Pakistan. The ruling party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has suffered a major setback. PTI's ally Muttahida Quami Movement Pakistan (MQMP) withdrew its support to the government even before the vote on the no-confidence motion.

The MQM has decided to go with the opposition Pakistan People's Party (PPP). The departure of PM Imran Khan's government is believed to be certain after MQM withdrew support from PTI.
The PTI government has lost majority in the lower house after the MQM withdrew support. Now the number of pro-PTI MPs in the house has come down to 164. While the United Opposition has 177 members. The total number of members in the National Assembly of Pakistan is 342. The majority requires the support of 172 MPs. The debate on the opposition's no-confidence motion will start from March 31 and voting will take place on April 3.
Imran Khan said at a protest: “Efforts are being made to change the government in Pakistan with foreign money. Our people are used. Some people use foreign money against us , but we will not compromise on the national interest.
