Pakistan News : PTI leader Fawad Chaudhary arrested, Imran Khan may also be arrested

Former PM of Pakistan Imran Khan has got a shock. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhary, who was a minister in Imran Khan's government, has been arrested by the police. He has been arrested from Lahore. The Election Commission had issued a non-bailable warrant against Fawad. After the arrest of Fawad Chaudhary, there is a possibility of arrest of Imran Khan as well. Supporters have gathered in large numbers outside Imran's residence.

After Fawad's arrest, PTI leaders have opened a front against the government. Party leader Hafiz Farhad Abbas said that Fawad Chaudhary has been illegally abducted from his house. His fault is that he asked for justice, asked for the rights of the country. He had told those who violated the constitution to announce elections. We will not be silent any longer.

Significantly, PTI leaders including Fawad Chaudhary are accused of threatening the Election Commission. Fawad Chaudhary also accused the present government of Pakistan of conspiring to arrest Imran Khan. The Election Commission had issued non-bailable warrants against PTI chairman Imran Khan, Fawad Chaudhary and Asad Umar in a contempt case. The PTI leaders had sought exemption from appearance before the commission, but the commission rejected the demand and issued arrest warrants against a surety bond of Rs 50,000.
