Outer Delhi Police and Assure IP Protection Agency Raided A Factory That Manufactured Fake Toilet Product Harpic in Delhi

Reckitt Benckiser Pvt Ltd, a leading global brand, whose toilet cleaning product Harpic is most popular among consumers in India, is making all efforts to ensure that its consumers get the high-quality product.

It has kept a watch on the market through private detective firms and IPR protection agencies so that its counterfeit product should not enter the market.

In one such effort, Assure IP Protection Agency, which is the authorised representative of the company got information that a factory in Nihal Vihar in Outer Delhi was involved in manufacturing counterfeit products of Harpic.

Such activities not only bring a bad name to a globally acclaimed product but also cheat customers by offering a substandard product that is not worth the money. Besides, it also causes a huge loss to the government in terms of theft of taxes such as Goods and Service Tax.

After a detailed market survey within a very short span of time Assure IPR identified the factory from where a fake brand of Harpic was going to be supplied in the market.

The Counterfeiters had big plans to supply the product everywhere in Delhi NCR. But before it happened, the IPR firm collaborated with the police and raided the factory before the product made it to the market.

“It was very important to us that the product should not hit the market and cause any loss to the common public. I appreciate the efforts taken by the Outer Delhi Police who took timely action and raised the premise,” one of the members of IPR firm said.

The Police seized the building and arrested the factory owner who was involved in the manufacturing of the fake product. The Police have also seized the raw materials and others involved in this illegal practice.

“We have kept a very strict watch on the market so that not a single counterfeit product can make an entry. The surveillance is very high in every part of the country with the help of other agencies,” the member of the IPR firm said.
