It is reported that the movie, which won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature Film, will soon be released in both Japanese and English dubbed versions in Indian cinemas.
Warner Bros India announced on X, "India, the wait is over! The Academy Award Winner 'The Boy And The Heron' directed by Hayao Miyazaki is coming soon to Indian cinemas."
"The highly anticipated animated movie will be released in Japanese with English subtitles and English dubbing."
Mahito Maki, who moves to the country after losing his mother, discovers an abandoned tower near his new home and enters a fantastical world with a talking grey heron.
At the Oscars 2024, 'The Boy And The Heron' won Best Animated Feature. Aimyon, Yoshino Kimura, Takuya Kimura, Kaoru Kobayashi, and Shinobu Otake are among the Japanese voice cast for the movie directed and written by Hayao Miyazaki.
It won the Golden Globes, the Bafta Film Awards, the New York Film Critics Circle Awards, and the Los Angeles Film Critics Association awards, marking Miyazaki's first major project in over a decade.
A huge $73 million haul was earned by the film in China on Friday, more than both Japan and North America combined earned during its July 14 release.
