Oscar 2023 Nominations: Entry of 'Natu Natu' in Best Original Song, Chhelo Show Out from International Feature Film

Several films from around the world were nominated for different categories of Oscars for the 95th Academy Awards on Tuesday. In this, SS Rajamouli's film blockbuster 'RRR' from the country of India once again exploded. Song 'Natu-Natu' from 'RRR' has been nominated for Oscars 2023. Hollywood actress Allison Williams and Oscar winner Riz Ahmed announced the nominations at the Academy's office at the Academy's Weberly Hills Theater.

RRR's 'Naatu Naatu' beat Top Gun Maverick's 'Hold My Hand', Felt It Like a Woman's 'Applause', Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's 'Lift Me Up' to win the award in the Best Original Song category. Everything Everywhere will compete with 'This Is Life' by All at Once.

'Naatu Naatu' is the first song in the history of Indian films to be nominated for an Oscar. The music of this song is composed by MM Keeravani. He has won the Golden Globe Award for this. Whereas, Chandra Bose has written the lyrics. The song is picturized on NTR Jr and Ram Chalan. Shaunak Sen's Indian documentary film 'All That Breathes' has been nominated in the Documentary Feature Film and Kartiki Gonsalves' 'Elephant Whispers' has been nominated in the Documentary Short Film category. 'All That Breaths' is the story of two brothers who were born in Delhi.

As much as the possibility was expressed about 'RRR' for Oscar nomination, the same expectations were about Pan Nalin's Gujarati film 'Chello Show', but this film could not be nominated in the International Feature Film category. The race for Oscar nominations is not easy, 10,000 people have to roll papads to show the film. SS Rajamouli's film 'RRR' is doing one blast after another. The film was awarded the title of Best Original Song at the Golden Globe Awards and Critics Choice Awards a few days ago. The nominations have raised hopes of winning an Oscar.
