Twelve opposition MPs have been suspended for the entire winter session of Parliament due to ruckus during the monsoon session of Parliament. Now there is resentment in the opposition about this. After which today on November 30, opposition parties have called a meeting in Parliament. Congress MP Rahul Gandhi was present on this occasion.In this meeting, the future strategy was discussed after the suspension of 12 Rajya Sabha MPs for the remaining part of the winter session.
This meeting was called in the Parliament office of Rajya Sabha MP Mallikarjun Kharge, in which 16 parties participated.Let us inform that after the meeting, the opposition party had talked about meeting Rajya Sabha Chairman M Venkaiah Naidu regarding the suspension of 12 Rajya Sabha MPs.
After the meeting, MPs from Congress and other opposition parties requested Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu to revoke the suspension of 12 MPs. But Venkaiah Naidu refused to withdraw the suspension. Replying to the Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiah Naidu said,"Suspended MPs have not expressed regret. I am not considering the appeal of the Leader of the Opposition (Mallikarjan Kharge). The suspension will not be withdrawn.
Congress leader Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said, "We have staged a walkout from the Lok Sabha to support the 12 opposition members of the Rajya Sabha who have been suspended. The suspension action from the current winter session points to a 'retroactive effect'." Why should I apologize?"
