Online registration process of Agneepath Recruitment Scheme completed
Keeping in view that no recruitment has taken place during the last two years, the government has decided that one-time relaxation will be given for the proposed recruitment cycle for 2022. Hence, the upper age limit for the recruitment process for the Agneepath scheme has been increased to 23 years for 2022.

The registration for Agneepath scheme in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir started from July 1. As of July 5, 255 have already been registered. Out of 255 youths, 70 are girls. The registered people are from many border areas of Poonch. This information was given by Lt Col Prasoon Singh of Durga Battalion Poonch Brigade.
Indian Air Force has informed by tweeting on its official Twitter handle that the online registration process of 'Agnipath Recruitment Scheme' has been completed. This time more youth have applied for Agneepath scheme than before. The Air Force has said that this time 7,49,899 youth have completed the online registration process as against 6,31,528 earlier.
The central government had decided to increase the upper age limit for Agneepath scheme from 21 years to 23 years. The Defense Ministry had said that this decision has been taken due to no recruitment in the last two years. As a result of this, the entry age for all new recruits into the Armed Forces was fixed at 21 years from 17 and a half years.
