Online debate between BJP and Trinamool Congress leaders over the film 'Pathan'

Online war is being seen between BJP and Trinamool Congress regarding the film Pathan. Today a tweet was done by BJP leader Amit Malviya in which he wrote that at the Kolkata Film Festival, Mamta Banerjee asked Arijit Singh to sing one of her favorite songs and he sang Rang De Tu Mohe Gerua. It was an evening of feelings. From Mr. Bachchan to Arijit, who reminded Mamata Banerjee in her backyard that the future of Bengal is saffron. Trinamool Congress leader Riju Dutta replied to her tweet with a video from Union Minister Smriti Irani's 1998 Miss India beauty pageant event. Di where she wrote in the caption, Rang de tu mohe saffron because Smriti Irani was wearing a saffron colored bikini at that time.

After this tweet, there was a fierce battle between BJP and Trinamool Congress. On this tweet of Riju Dutta, BJP MP Locket Chatterjee expressed his displeasure and wrote that Mamta Banerjee for appointing such anti-women men as national spokesperson of TMC Should be ashamed. He has no respect for women and the choices they make in life. They resent successful women and their rise. Men like him are responsible for increasing crimes against women.

Reacting to Locket Chatterjee's statement, Trinamool Congress leader Riju Dutta said that she belongs to the party which had declared the Bilkis Bano case convicts as 'cultured Brahmins' said. I belong to a party whose CM is the only woman CM in the country and a symbol of women empowerment. We know how to respect women. TMC has no objection to what Smriti Irani wears, it is her right but we oppose BJP's moral policing and selective outrage against certain people. I have just shown him the mirror. The TMC leader further said that is the saffron color the personal property of the BJP? Who gives them the authority over this? If you are abusing women like Deepika Padukone for wearing clothes of your choice in saffron color then they should also see what their union minister wore a saffron colored bikini in 1998.
