One student killed, 40 injured as tourist bus falls into gorge in Kerala

A student of Tirur Industrial Training Institute in Malappuram died while he was going on a tour with his classmates and teachers. The student has been identified as Milhaj and the incident took place at Adimali in Kerala's Idukki district. At least 40 students were injured in the early morning accident and were admitted to various hospitals in and around Adimali.

In another incident, two bike-borne youths were killed when a police jeep hit them. The deceased have been identified as Justin and his friend Alex, residents of Kottayam. The accident took place at Thalavadi in Alappuzha district around 3.30 am, police said. The driver was alone in the jeep at the time of the accident. In another road accident at Chingavanam in Kottayam district, two youths were killed when their two-wheeler was hit by an oil tanker. The youths who lost their lives were identified as Shyam and Arun Kumar.
