On Kargil Vijay Diwas Army pays tribute to the fallen soldiers with a special video ‘THE MARIGOLD’

New Delhi : On the occasion of 22nd anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas Indian Army paid tribute to the fallen soldiers with a special video based on Maj Gen Ian Cardozo (retd.)’s Poem ‘THE MARIGOLD’. Talking about this video they say, “we dedicate Maj Gen Ian Cardozo’s Poem ‘THE MARIGOLD’ to the 527 gallant Indian braves who made the supreme sacrifice & fought in Operation Vijay”.

During the Kargil conflict, the gallant soldiers of the Indian Army, with the help of Indian Air Force, overcame insurmountable odds, hostile terrain and inclement weather to win against the enemy that had occupied dominating heights. On this momentous occasion, the proud nation is celebrating the victory by remembering the fallen heroes through various events across the country.
