Omicron Scare: After Madhya Pradesh, UP imposes night curfew from December 25
Uttar Pradesh has recorded only two cases of Omicron, however, the state has decided to take proactive action and impose restrictions so that cases won’t spread as it happened during the second wave in the month of April and May 2021.

Besides, restrictions at night, there are many other curbs that have been announced for keeping in mind festivals and holidays ahead.
Not more than 200 people will gather at any function or festival at one place and the shopkeepers have been asked not to sell products to those people who have not worn any mask.
“Covid appropriate behaviour is a must. Every authority has been instructed to maintain and follow covid protocol, violation of which, can invite fine as per the prescribed norms,” A senior health official in the state health minister told The National Bulletin.
He added, “The government is very serious keeping in mind the increase in cases in other states. Unless we maintain strict Covid behaviour, things will go out of our hand and we can face another second wave-like situation in the country.”
Earlier, the state government of Madhya Pradesh had taken a decision to impose a night curfew in the state. Though the state hasn’t reported a single case of Omicron, it has still taken this decision in the people’s interest.
As of now, the country has reported more than 350 cases of Omicron and the number is still going up every day.
