After this announcement, more than 57 thousand employees appointed on contract in various government organizations will become regular employees. For this, an additional burden of Rs 1300 crore will come on the government.

This decision has been taken in the cabinet meeting held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. A formal release in this regard will be published by the government on Sunday. After the announcement of CM, there is no place for happiness among the contract employees of the state. I am happy to announce that the State Cabinet has decided to do away with the contractual appointment system forever. Regular recruitment is still closed in many states.
