New Delhi: Congress leaders have gathered together in a protest against the Enforcement Directorate’s probe against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in the National Herald Case. Continuing their dissatisfaction, two NSUI workers climbed a water tank in Delhi to protest against the ED probe.
Rahul Gandhi reached the ED headquarters on APJ Abdul Kalam Road for the third consecutive day in the money laundering case related to National Herald. He was accompanied by his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra who after dropping Rahul at the ED office, left.
Congress workers and leaders protested in many areas of Delhi for the third day against the ED's interrogation of Rahul Gandhi. Outside the ED office, hundreds of workers of Delhi Congress State President Chaudhary Anil Kumar demonstrated with a black band. Police and paramilitary personnel were stationed around the office of the investigating agency and Section 144 of CrPC was in force. The police took many protesting leaders and activists into custody.
Prominent Congress leader Sachin Pilot was also detained earlier today from outside the Congress headquarters amid huge protests.
