NSF agitation over deaths in Nagaland, massive protest in Kohima

Recently, protests have started in the capital Kohima in protest against the death of 14 civilians due to military error in the remote Mon district of Nagaland.A huge rally was organized by the Naga Student Federation (NSF), an organization that has a lot of influence among the students, in which thousands of people participated.

Demonstrators held banners and placards in their hands, saying how many times shots should be fired before AFSPA is repealed, AFSPA gives shelter to the devil in the Indian Army.The movement of December 17 is significant not only because it is the third day of protest, but also because it is a sign of the ever-increasing protest of the Naga people.

What began as a 'non-cooperation movement' by the Konyak Union, the apex body of the Konyak Naga tribe, escalated into a fight with the Eastern Nagaland People's Organization on Wednesday.
