North India gets relief from cold wave for next 6-7 days, but rain will continue
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) said that there will be rain in North-West India and Central India till January 9 and there is no possibility of cold wave in North India during the next 6-7 days.

The IMD said, "There is a Western Disturbance in the form of a Western Disturbance in the lower and middle troposphere levels, whose axis is 5.8 km above sea level. Under its influence, an induced depression over the lower troposphere levels over southwest Rajasthan and adjoining Pakistan. A cyclonic circulation has formed. There is moisture coming from Arabian Sea over Northwest India and it is likely to continue for the next two days.
Light/moderate rain is very likely to occur at isolated places over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi, North Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh till January 6. On January 5 and 6, there is a possibility of scattered rains over South Rajasthan, Gujarat, West Madhya Pradesh and East Uttar Pradesh. There is a possibility of rain and thundershower activities in East Uttar Pradesh and West Madhya Pradesh.
