North East Team of Seelampur Police Arrests Criminal Involved in Multiple Criminal Cases, Recovers Loaded Pistols, Stolen Vehicles and Stolen Phones

In a major development, the North East Team of Seelampur Police arrested a criminal involved in multiple Criminal Involvements. The Police also recovered loaded pistols, stolen vehicles, and stolen mobile phones from the accused. The accused has been identified as Faeem (23), who also had previous involvements. To curb the incidents of auto lifting, Specific strategies are being adopted and staff is being deployed for random checking of vehicles.

According to Sanjay Kumar Sain, Dy. Commissioner of Police, North-East District, New Delhi, “On the intervening night of the 30th of May, 2022, a police team comprising SI Akhil Chaudhary, HC Jaiveer, HC Navneesh, and Const. Nitin randomly was checking vehicles at Brahampuri Pulia Seelampur Delhi. At about 01.15 AM, one person riding on a Honda Aviator at a high speed was intercepted. On cursory checking, one country-made pistol loaded with one live cartridge was recovered from his conscious possession. On examination, he revealed his identity as Faeem (23). Further, he couldn’t provide the documents related to the ownership of Scooty.

Later, on checking the scooty was found stolen. Accordingly, a case vides FIR No. 277/22 dated 30.05.2022 u/s 25 Arms Act & 102 Cr.PC PS Seelampur, Delhi was registered and an investigation was taken up.

On sustained interrogation, he confessed to his crime and disclosed his involvement in multiple cases of Auto Lifting. His previous involvements in cases related to robbery/theft and Arms Act also surfaced during interrogation. In his instance raids were conducted and two stolen motorcycles, two stolen scooters and two snatched/stolen mobile phones were also recovered from different places. Sincere efforts to nab the source of the pistol and connect the recovered phone with the concerned case are on.

According to the Police, Further investigation into the case is in progress.
