North East Team of Khajuri Khas Police Arrests Two Criminals Accused in a Blind Murder Case, Recovers Weapon of Offence

In remarkable progress, the North East Team of Khajuri Khas Police along with Operations Cell/NED arrested two criminals accused in a Blind Murder Case. The Police also recovered the weapon of offense, a country-made pistol along with empty and live cartridges.

According to Sanjay Kumar Sain, Dy. Commissioner of Police, North East Delhi, “On the 28th of May, at about 10 PM, the Khajuri Khas Police received information regarding a person lying in a pool of blood at Shri Ram Colony, Delhi. The Police team instantly reached the spot and found that a person was lying in a pool of blood. On physical inspection, a bullet injury mark was found on his chest. Immediately, he was shifted to JPC Hospital where he was declared brought dead. Scene of the crime got inspected through the FSL & Crime team."

The identity of the deceased was established as Sohail (19) Years who was living with their relatives in B- Block Shri Ram Colony, Delhi and had been working in a garments factory. Accordingly, a case from the PS Khajuri Khas was registered and an investigation was taken up.

Being a blind murder case, a special police team comprising SI Suraj, Const. Hawa Singh, Const. Shoeb and Const. Chand Ram under the supervision of SHO/Khajuri Khas and close guidance of ACP/Khajuri Khas analyzed the CCTV footage to get some leads.

In the further course of the investigation, a suspected person was zeroed-in. Basis a piece of secret information, an accused was apprehended from the area near service pusta road, Khajuri. His identity was established as Bismil (21).

On sustained interrogation, he confessed to his crime and disclosed that he is presently residing with his sister and works at clothes dying factory in Sri Ram Colony, Khajuri. He along with his friends immediately reached home where her sister informed her that her husband had gone out and not returned. He along with his friends went to find out about Kamil, his brother-in-law. His friend Aakib was carrying a loaded country-made pistol. On the way, they met Yunus and one unknown person. On asking about the quarrel, Yunus gets agitated, on which a scuffle took place after a heated argument. Bismil snatched the country-made pistol from Aakib and shot at Yunus. Sensing the pistol, Yunus dodged; resultantly the bullet hit the Suhail, his own friend. On seeing the Suhail in severally injured condition, they all fled the spot in a state of trauma.

In his instance, raids were conducted at various places and on Tuesday, following which Aakib was apprehended from the area of Indra Vihar Mustafabad Delhi. One Country made Pistol loaded with one empty cartridge and one live cartridge was recovered from his possession.
