North East Team of Khajuri Khas Police arrests Notorious Auto Lifter, Recovers a Button Actuated Knife, an Auto Rickshaw, and three Motorcycles

In a major development, the North East Team of Khajuri Khas Police arrested a Notorious Auto Lifter and recovered a Button Actuated Knife, an Auto Rickshaw, and three Motorcycles, namely, Motorcycle Hero Splendour, Motorcycle passion Pro, and Splendour The accused has been identified as Zishan (24).

Sanjay Kumar Sain, the Dy Commissioner of Police, North-East District said that "On the 19th of April, an e-FIR No. 10602/22 u/s 379 IPC, PS Khajuri Khas, Delhi regarding the theft of an Auto Rickshaw near Khajuri Chowk was received at PS Khajuri Khas. Immediately, a message was flashed through the control room to all the teams patrolling the field. On receipt of the message, a team comprising of HC Ajay, Const. Chand Ram and Const. Hawa Singh started random checking of vehicles near PTS Wazirabad area."

Sain further added, "At about 10:20 PM police team noticed an auto coming towards PTS Wazirabad, on seeing the police team checking the vehicle, immediately take a U-turn in a bid to escape from the spot. At once the police team rushed and stopped him within a short span. On cursory search, one button actuated knife was recovered from his possession. Further on questioning he couldn’t produce documents related to the ownership of the auto."

Then, Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 329/22 dated 19.04.22 u/s 25/54/59 Arms Act & 102 Cr.PC, PS Khajuri Khas, Delhi was registered, he was arrested and investigation was taken up.

During course of investigation his identity was established as Zishan S/o Akhtar Ansari R/o Mustafabad, Delhi age-24 years. He confessed for his crime and revealed his involvements in other cases of auto lifting also. The Police said that, "Further investigation in the case is under progress."
