North East Team of Bhajanpura Police arrests Snatchers, recovers stolen motorcycles
In what could be heralded as a major development, the Bhajanpura Police arrested two desperate snatchers and recovered a stolen motorcycle, which was purposely reported lost, and one button actuated knife.

New Delhi: In what could be heralded as a major development, the Bhajanpura Police arrested two desperate snatchers and recovered a stolen motorcycle, which was purposely reported lost, and one button actuated knife. The accused have been identified as Mohd Amir (24), who had previous involvements in Burglary and Theft, while the other accused is Mohd Adil (22).
Devesh Kumar Mahla, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police-I, said that “On the 5th of April, a police team comprising HC Anil, HC Krishna, Const. Arun and Const. Naveen was checking the vehicle at a picket near ‘Foot over Bridge’ at 66 futa road Yamuna Vihar, Delhi in the morning hours. At about 10:15 AM, it was noticed by the team that two persons on a splendor motorcycle slipped and fell down on the road in a bid to take a sharp U-turn. On cursory search, one button actuated knife was recovered from the pillion. When Police investigated further, the motorcycle was found to be stolen vide e-FIR No. 1088/22 dated 14.01.22. Accordingly, a case vides FIR No. FIR No 307/22 dated 05.04.22 u/s 25/54/59 & 102 Crpc PS Bhajanpura, Delhi was registered. The accused were apprehended and an investigation was taken up.”
During the course of the investigation, the identities of the accused were identified as Mohd Amir and Mohd Adil, and they were found to be brothers. They further revealed that Adil recently snatched a mobile phone from a girl near Yamuna Vihar and fled the spot with his brother Amir. They disclosed their multiple criminal previous involvements in burglary & theft cases. The Apache Motorcycle they used in the commission of the crime was found to be in their maternal grandfather’s name on which they themselves lodged a theft report.
