North East Team of Bhajanpura Police arrests Culprit, Recovers Weapon of Offense, and Vehicle Used

In a major development, the North East Division of the Delhi Police, the Bhajanpura Police arrested a culprit and recovered a weapon of offense and the vehicle used in the commission of the crime. The accused have been identified as Manish Dedha (31).

As per Sanjay Kumar Sain, Dy. Commissioner of Police, North-East District, “On the 4th of May, at around 6.45 PM, a firing incident was reported at PS Bhajanpura, vide which the complainant Deepak S/o Rajender Singh R/o Village- Gamri, Bhajanpura, Delhi stated that his brother namely Vishal called on his mobile phone and informed that he had been shot at by one Manish Dedha and he is on the way to Trauma Center, Civil Lines for treatment.”

Mr. Sain further added “Immediately, SHO/Bhajanpura along with SI Ashutosh and Const. Manoj reached the spot 5th pusta Gamri, Delhi but no eyewitness was found available there. However, on inspection of the spot, empty cartridges were recovered. The District Crime Team was also called on the spot for inspection. Later, a police team reached Trauma Centre, Civil Line, and obtained the MLC of the injured Vishal. Meanwhile, the complainant Deepak S/o Rajender Singh contacted the police team and informed them of the incident and also showed the car Toyota Glanza side window. Accordingly, on his statement under the Arms Act PS-Bhajanpura, Delhi was registered and an investigation was taken up.

Meanwhile, the police team was informed by Duty Officer that one more person namely Gaurav Sharma had been referred from JPC Hospital to MAX Hospital Patparganj, Delhi Assessing the gravity of the firing incident, team AATS/NED was also roped in to assist the Police Station team. Technical Surveillance, as well as human intelligence, was gathered by the police team from the local area. During the inquiry, it surfaced that some monetary dispute had been going on between the Vishal and Manish Dedha.

In that process, CCTV footage of the vicinity was scanned and analyzed thoroughly, and the local resources were also deployed. Sincere efforts of the police team bore the fruits and on 09.05.22 on the basis of secret information, Manish Dedha was apprehended in a Mahindra. During interrogation, the accused confessed to his crime and revealed that he had enmity with Vishal over money for a long. Sincere efforts are being made to ascertain how the Gaurav Sharma received a bullet injury. Further investigation into the case is in progress.
