New Delhi: In a major development, the North East Team of Bhajanpura Police apprehended three criminals, who were accused of stabbing a person to death and recovered weapons of offense, which in this case were two batton swords (Gupti). The Police Team, in a commendable effort, solved the entire case within 24 hours. The identity of the accused has been kept discreet as they are all underage, with two of 16 years, and one of mere 15 in age.

According to Devesh Kumar Mehla, Addl. Dy. Commissioner of Police-I, North East District, New Delhi, “On the 14th of March, a PCR call regarding the stabbing of a person was received near Pani Ki Tanki, Subhash Vihar, PS-Bhajanpura, Delhi. Immediately, the SHO Bhajan Pura along with staff reached the spot and it came to know that one person namely Tamkin (45) was stabbed by three persons and taken to GTB Hospital by locals. Doctors at GTB Hospital declared him dead. The scene of the crime was preserved and important evidence was lifted with the help of the Crime team and the team from FSL Rohini. Accordingly, a case with FIR No. 336/2022 under the 302/34 Section of the IPC was registered and an investigation was taken up.”

Mr. Mehla further added, During the course of the investigation a police team comprising Insp Surender Sharma, SI Pankaj Kumar, SI Rahul, Const. Umesh, Const Mukesh, and Const. Sachin under the supervision of SHO/Bhajanpura and guidance of ACP/Bhajanpura started working on different aspects and put their best efforts into solving the case. Several CCTV footage was scanned and other secret information was extracted and further developed. Searches of accused persons were made at various places. During the search, on the 15th of March, all three suspects were nabbed near Pathan Foods, Noor-E-Ilahi, Delhi. Inquiry revealed that they all are minor i.e., below 18 Years.
