North-East Delhi Police arrested six robbers, solved a daylight robbery case
A joint effort by two police stations, Gokalpuri and Dayalpur, and the Anti Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of North East Delhi led to the arrest of six robbers and two Children who were involved in the robbery of a scooty and cash.

On February 12, 2022, a PCR call regarding the robbery of scooty and cash Rs. 65000 on main Nala Road near Pradhan Wali Gali, Johripur, Delhi, was received in Gokalpuri police station.
Immediately, the police team reached the spot and contacted the complainant Sanjay Kumar Gupta. In his statement, the complainant stated that he is a cash collector for the firm Achrumal & Sons Company, Ghazipur, Delhi.
After collecting the cash from the area of Shiv Vihar while he was returning to his office, he was followed by some boy riding on two different motorcycles. One of the motorcycles overtook and hit his scooty. On that issue, they had a heated argument. Meanwhile, one of them ran away his scooty along with a plastic bag containing coins of Rs. 65000.
“Accordingly, on his complaint, a case was registered and the investigation was taken up. Assessing the gravity of a daylight robbery, a police team comprising ASI Anil, ASI Gajraj, Const. Vipin, Const. Rohit and Const. Dimple from PS Gokalpuri, Const. Harender, Const. Deepak and Const. Satbir from PS Dayalpur and SI Manoj Solanki, HC Vipin, Const. Rahul and Const Vipin Tyagi of AATS/NED under the supervision of SHO/Gokalpuri and Inspr. AATS/NED worked diligently,” Sanjay Kumar Sain, DCP, North-East District, New Delhi, said.
He added, “The joint police team scanned and analyzed the CCTV footages of the area to ascertain the escape route of the robbers. Technical surveillance as well human intelligence was also deployed. The robbed scooty was traced and recovered by the police team within hours.”
During the scanning of several CCTV footage, the police team zeroed in on two persons on a motorcycle. They were identified and on February 14, 2022, on the instance of informer a raid was conducted and a person namely Raja was apprehended from Bhagirathi Vihar, Delhi.
On Raja’s instance, his younger brother a CCL was also apprehended and motorcycle Hero Splendour No. DL- 5SBZ-6992 used in the commission of the crime was recovered from his possession. On examination, Raja confessed to his crime and on his instance, his three associates namely Nadeem, Aman and Suhail years were apprehended from the area of Nala Road, Bhagirathi Vihar, Delhi.
On searching, two plastic packets containing 200 coins of Rs. 10 and 100 coins of Rs. 5 total Rs. 2500 were recovered from the possession of Nadeem and Two plastic packets containing 150 coins of Rs. 10 and 120 coins of Rs. 5 a total of Rs. 2100 were recovered from the possession of Aman. Another motorcycle Hero Splendour No. DL-5 SBL-0811 used in the commission of the crime was also recovered from the possession of Suhail.
On further interrogation, they disclosed that on February 12, 2022, they along with their two more associates namely Aadil and another CCL robbed Sanjay Gupta. After Robbery Aadil gave them coins of Rs. 11000 as their share.
