North-East Delhi Police arrested five criminals in the last 24 hours

Adhering to the zero tolerance policy against crime, a police team comprising HC Devender, Const. Ashish and Const. Dheeraj under the supervision of SHO/Sonia Vihar was patrolling in the area.
“After reaching Second Pusta, Yamuna Khadar, police team received secret information regarding an armed criminal. Immediately the same was shared with SHO/Sonia Vihar and on his directions, on the instance of informer, a person was apprehended from the area of Yamuna Khadar,” Sanjay Kumar Sain, DCP, North East District, said.
On cursory search, one sophisticated semi automatic pistol loaded with 04 live cartridges was recovered from his conscious possession. Accordingly, a case has been registered and investigation taken up.
During course of investigation, his identity was established as Suresh. He confessed for his crime and disclosed the source of weapon.
“In the second case, on 16.02.22, while patrolling in the area of PS/New Usmanpur a police team comprising Const. Anil Kumar NE and Const. Deepanshu reached near Star Motors, 2nd Pusta New Usmanpur, Delhi and noticed a person in suspicious condition,” DCP Sain said.
He was stopped and checked. On cursory search, one button actuated knife and one mobile phone were recovered from his possession. On examination, the mobile phone recovered from his possession found to be stolen.
Accordingly, a case has been registered and investigation taken up. During course of investigation his identity was established as Sunny. He confessed of his crime and revealed his involvement in multiple cases of snatching & robbery. Further investigation in the case is in progress.
According to DCP Sain, “In the third case, on 08-02-2022 a complaint was received from Ajmeri, resident of Jagjit Nagar alleging that one Nitin @ Bhanda known to her had snatched the mobile from the hand of her son namely Gulam Rasol Age 11 yrs and fled the spot."
He added, “Accordingly, on the basis of complaint, a case was registered and investigation taken up. During course of investigation, raids were conducted by a police team comprising HC Amrish Panwar, Const. Amit Nain, Const. Rajiv , Const. Anil and Const. Dipanshu under the supervision of SHO/New Usmanpur but alleged Nitin @ Bhanda was absconding from his house."
Technical surveillance as well as the human resources was deployed to gather the whereabouts of alleged Nitin. On 16.02.22, on the basis of secret information, a raid was conducted and Nitin @ Bhanda was apprehended. During interrogation, he confessed for his crime and revealed that he is addicted to smack, to fulfil his daily needs, he is involved in petty offences.
He further disclosed that he had sold out the snatched mobile phone to some passerby not known to him. He also disclosed his involvement in other cases. Sincere efforts are being made to recover the snatched mobile phone. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
In the fourth case, on 16.02.2022, while on patrolling near Loni Golchakkar, a police team comprising Const. Vipin and Const. Rohit heard a person shouting “CHOR CHOR PAKDO PAKDO”.
The alert police team immediately took cognizance of the situation and reached the person who stated that his name was Lavnish Kaushik. He indicated towards a person running in another direction and informed that he had been robbed by the running person and his associate by chocking his throat from behind.
Instantly, police team caught hold of the running person after a brief chase. On search, one purse containing Rs. 450/-, Aadhar Card, Voter ID Card, 2 Metro Cards robbed from complainant was recovered from his possession.
Accordingly, a case has been registered and investigation taken up. During course of interrogation his identity was established as Aakash. He confessed for his crime. On checking he was previously found involved in 2 cases of snatching. On sustained interrogation he disclosed that the mobile phone of the complainant had been robbed by his associate Raja who fled the spot. Sincere efforts are being made to nab the Raja.
